Atlanta Gooners was founded in 2011 by Doug Goodwin. He had a vision of an independent gathering of passionate fans coming together and having fun, casual and with a little punk rock freedom about it all. It’s always been about the team and the fans. In 2016, America saw a great boom in interest over footie. It was the perfect time for Atlanta Gooners to step up and be part of the revolution. Adding new leadership, restructuring, and refocusing but remaining decidedly independent, we took our love of AFC and the game and paired it with our love of the city.

2017 is a full reboot of Atlanta Gooners as a charity focused organization, committed to building partnerships those who invest in the youth of Atlanta though soccer. It’s all powered by the sort of devotion and loyalty that has made both Gooners and Arsenal famous as one of the most active football clubs in both global and local philanthropy, only with a bit of a southern accent.

All proceeds from events and sales beyond our administrative costs will always be donated to local groups and charities like Soccer in the Streets and The Atlanta United Foundation.
